Monica’s son, Romelo Montez Hill, enjoys basketball.

Monica, a chart-topping pop and R&B musician, has three children: two boys and a girl. Romelo Montez Hill, one of her kids, is developing into a superb basketball player.
Romelo was born in the month of January of 2008. He is Monica’s second child with her ex-fiancé, rapper Rodney Ramone Hill Jr., widely known by his stage moniker “Rocko.” Rodney, his elder brother, was born almost three years earlier, although they appear to be the same age. They have a younger sister from their mother’s marriage as well.
Despite his youth, Romelo has already acquired some excellent talents on the court and appears to have a promising future in the sport. He’s also quite famous, having an Instagram following that rivals that of several well-known public personalities.
Romelo has reached adulthood.
Monica’s sons appear to be warriors ready to defend their queen mother in photos of the mother and her sons. Despite their almost three-year age gap, Romelo and Rodney seem practically identical, since Romelo has already caught up to his elder brother in terms of physique.
Another thing the boys have in common is that they spend a lot of time with their mother, who appears to treasure every moment she spends with them. Monica’s affection for her children is evident in her social media posts. In one of her Instagram postings about them, she included photos of the boys and their sister, along with the caption:
“NEW LEGENDS…Taking them places, showing them things, and exposing them to life beyond what we see delights them!” You will witness various degrees of grandeur since they have all been picked! The most high will keep them, and I shall stand by them! 4 EVER”
Romelo and his siblings accompany their mother to numerous locations, including Romelo’s basketball games. He appears to have a great skill for the game and appears to have a bright future in the sport. His mother described him as a diligent worker who goes above and beyond.
Rapper Romelo Montez Hill’s Father
Monica was previously married, although not to Romelo’s father, whom she dated in the early 2000s. The pair almost married, but their on-again, off-again love terminated before they tied the knot. During their nearly a decade together, they did have two children, Rodney in May 2005 and Romelo.
Romelo’s mother began dating basketball player Shannon Brown in 2010, just a few months after his parents divorced. Later that year, in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, the couple married. They had a second wedding a few months later, with family and friends in attendance.
On September 3, 2013, Monica gave birth to a baby girl, Laiyah Shannon, Romelo’s second sibling from his mother’s side. Unfortunately, the couple split in March 2019; Romelo and his siblings have been raised by a single mother since then.
Romelo Identifies as a Athlete
Romelo’s varied hobbies, including basketball, are documented on Instagram. He touts himself as an athlete in his account profile, and he backs it up with several videos and photographs of him doing his thing on the court.
Despite his early age, he already displays extraordinary talents and power, and he already has a large number of Instagram followers, maybe in anticipation of even greater things to come. That figure is now over 118k, and there are some notable names in the comments area, including his mother’s famous cousin, Ludacris.
However, it’s unclear which team Romelo plays for; his shirt says “Celtics” on the front. Nonetheless, because he is still in high school, he is most likely a member of his high school’s basketball team.
Although basketball appears to be his preferred activity, he has also been photographed competing in football and track & field. Although the posts for Romelo’s other extracurricular activities are sparse, especially when compared to the ones for basketball, he appears to be a talented multi-sport athlete.
