Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train will arrive at the Blu-ray station in late this year. It will be accompanied by a Limited Edition package that includes many bonuses.
Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train has broken the record and will finally be available on Blu-ray Dec 21st.
Funimation revealed that the highly acclaimed anime movie will be released in both a standard and limited edition release prior to the end of 2012. The Limited Edition Mugen Train package includes the movie’s soundtrack on CD, a booklet and an outer box with new artwork by Akira Matsushima. Blu-ray will include an English-subtitled commentary track by series voice actors Natsuki Hansae (Tanjiro Kamado), Akari Kito, and Hiro Shimono(Zenitsu Agatsuma), Yoshitsugu Matsuoka (“Inosuke Hashibira”) and Satoshi Hino (“Kyojuro Rengoku”). Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train was first released in Japan in 2020. It has surpassed the record of Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away, which held the record for more than a decade. The movie was released in limited theatrical runs in Canada and the United States in April. The MPAA gave it an R-rating. It was overcome. It was the foreign-language movie with the highest opening week sales in North America. The film earned more than USD 19 million its first weekend. Funimation’s subscription service made the movie available for streaming earlier in the year. This Blu-ray release of the film will be the first physical copy.
Mugen Train is an adaptation from the seventh arc in Demon Slayer -Kimetsu No Yaiba- The Movie: Mugen Train. It was created by KoyoharuGotouge and first appeared in Weekly Shonen Jump on June 16, 2016. The series is about Tanjiro Kamado who is a bright and intelligent young man who returns home to find that his entire family has been killed by a demon. His only sibling, Tanjiro Kamado, is currently transforming into a demon. Tanjiro saves his sister from a wandering, demon-slayer and decides to learn the sword and join the ranks the demon-slayers.
Studio Ufotable first made the manga into an anime series in 2019. The second season of the series is expected to debut before the end the year. It will adapt the fan-favorite Entertainment District storyline, which follows the events in the Mugen Train movie. Funimation announced that they will stream a simulcast of the season when it airs.
